You can add simple hacks to your daily life to help you optimise and support yourself inside and out! If you're not sure where to begin, read through our checklist to see how you can better your lifestyle and support your health even more!

Meditate

Meditation has been shown to have incredible neurological benefits. Studies show that meditation may alter grey matter volume, reduce stress, improve focus, increase creativity, reduce levels of anxiety and depression, improve concentration and aid in overall psychological wellbeing. Studies show that even a few minutes spent meditating may have a profound effect on your mental health.

Fasting

Many practice fasting for mental clarity, awakening the senses and boosting cognitive function, but several other health benefits exist. Several studies have found that fasting may improve blood sugar control, decrease several markers of inflammation, which may be helpful

in treating inflammatory conditions, such as multiple sclerosis.

Breathing exercises

Learning to control the breath is one of the most popular techniques to improve concentration, manage stress and support the immune system. Instead of going for that morning cup of coffee - try stimulated breathing:

Sit up straight, and relax your shoulders. Keep your mouth closed and inhale rapidly through your nose with quick, short breaths (exhale quickly as well). Repeat for 10 seconds. Take a 15-30 second break and breathe normally. Repeat several times.

Cold exposure

Cold exposure has been shown to increase focus and energy, improve sleep quality, and supports the immune system. Research has shown that exposure to cold boosts mitochondrial health. One study has shown that ending hot showers with 30 seconds of cold water resulted in a 29% reduction in sickness absence. Even 30-90 seconds of cold water can have profound health effects.

Nutrition

Nutrition is a critical part of health and development. Adults who eat a healthy diet live longer and have a lower risk of obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. A healthy diet may help people with chronic illnesses manage these conditions and prevent complications.
